Collage
After years as a painter I discovered collage, the collection and design of various media, to be an exciting challenge. It allows me to play with many ingredients as a different way to communicate. Collage is always original and suggestive as opposed to a reproduction.
Libris Series
The “LIBRIS”, or book series, began with two pieces reflecting my affection for all aspects of antique books. The look, feel, smell, and all the emotions books stir in readers became part of the project and wouldn’t let go of me until I finished the ninth collage.
Shepherdstown Series
At the annual theater festival in Shepherdstown, I found a beautiful ink monoprint fabric made a gallery owner/artist knowing it had a place somewhere for me. I decided to create a series that linked the design throughout.
